Job TitleCash Application SpecialistAbout Our ClientMy client is a leading waste and logistics company providing collection, transportation, and disposal services for a wide range of materials. They focus on efficient routing, sustainability initiatives, and reliable service to support both commercial and industrial customers.Job DescriptionManage daily posting of cash receipts across multiple payment channels, including billing systems, credit cards, lockbox, checks, ACH, and wires. Research and clear unapplied cash balances, ensuring accurate allocation and coordinating with internal teams when needed. Maintain organized audit-ready documentation, including remittances, check copies, and daily treasury reporting. Process returned payments (NSFs) and perform necessary account adjustments and reversals. Record customer refunds and correct misapplied payments or inter-account transfers. Investigate and resolve lockbox discrepancies and exceptions. Partner with Treasury and Collections to address cash application issues and improve processes.
