Typical Examples of Work:
1. Participation of delivery and data entry of career services, and training services under WIOA.
2. Interview and screen participants for employment and training programs.
3. Manage a caseload of Southwest Training Services, Inc. eligible participants.
4. Manage caseload of participants in special grants/programs.
5. Maintain communication and conduct follow up with participants in caseload.
6. Enroll participants using the standard paperwork.
7. Inform participants in regard to other available services.
8. Visit sites to monitor participant performance.
9. Prepare reports and keep records.
10. Attend PA CareerLink® staff meetings as scheduled.
11. Staff the Career Resource Center in PA CareerLink® as scheduled.
12. Participate in Orientation Process of PA CareerLink® customers.
13. Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
14. Basic knowledge of case management techniques.
15. Basic knowledge of interviewing techniques and ability to listen carefully to participants.
16. Ability to match applicants with appropriate training and other social services.
17. Basic knowledge of Federal laws, PA CareerLink®, and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act rules and regulations.
18. Basic knowledge of training programs and supportive services.
19. Have access to means of transportation, a valid driver's license and safe driving record, and the willingness to travel throughout Washington and Greene Counties.
20. Knowledge of the Local Labor Market.
21. Willingness to attend conferences and meetings outside SWTS, Inc.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Education equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, Education or related field.
Any equivalent combination or acceptable training and experience.
