What We Are Looking For
The Athletics Case Manager serves as a critical connector within Baylor Athletics as part of the Athletics Mental Health Services (AMHS) unit. This position provides initial consultation, case management, and coordinated care for student-athletes navigating not only mental health concerns but also transition into and out of Baylor University- functioning as a liaison between the athlete and the interdisciplinary team and ensuring every student-athletereceives consistent care. In collaboration with our Athletics Care Team, you will develop treatment plans, facilitate referrals, and serve as a steady, trusted presence for some of our most vulnerable student-athletes. This position will play a critical role in the success during the lifecycle of a student-athlete.
What Will You Do
Provide initial assessment and triage, consultation, and crisis intervention services for student-athletes seeking mental health services.
Assist in identification of appropriate clinical resources and referrals including higher level of care
Regular follow up with student-athletes identified as needing additional support, ensuring continuity of care and timely intervention.
Serve as the primary liaison between the student-athlete and their identified sport care team.
Maintain complete, accurate, timely and appropriate documentation of all student-athlete engagement.
