The principal role of the CASAS Student Assistant is to perform excellent customer service within CASAS by answering phone calls, checking in guests for appointments, greeting and assisting visitors and facilitating a clean environment in the lobby area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help CASAS staff manage the intake of guests in the CASAS lobby. Duties may include but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications
Current Liberty University student in good standing with the University
Able to work between 12-18 hours a week (between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday)
Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other systems and tools
Displays an attitude of courtesy, respect, and tact when dealing with others
Able to multi-task and function in a service environment
Able to problem solve and exercise good judgement
Strong customer service and communication skills
Eligible for Federal Work Study

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lit and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.
