The mission of Casa de Amigos is to improve the quality of life throughout the community by helping people help themselves. The Volunteer Engagement AmeriCorps VISTA member will increase Casa De Amigo's capacity by recruiting and managing volunteers to expand the reach of their impact. The VISTA member will build long-term sustainability by cross-training staff and volunteers on the volunteer recruitment and retention strategies the VISTA creates. The Volunteer Engagement VISTA will enhance volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts to increase volunteerism to expand the reach of Casa de Amigo of Midland's anti-poverty programming. The member will serve to enhance infrastructure to recruit and on-board volunteers to increase reach of Casa de Amigos of Midland programming. The member will also enhance volunteer experience to increase volunteer retention rates for Casa de Amigos of Midland. The VISTA member will serve on average 4 days a week in-person, and 1 day a week virtually.
