Swartz Restoration & Emergency Services is a trusted leader in disaster restoration and emergency services. We dont just rebuild houses we help our customers put their lives back together. We are currently seeking carpenters with a minimum of 3 years of proven carpentry experience to provide a range of construction skills and renovation skills to help restore residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, smoke, wind, and other perils.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver who has a wide range of remodeling skills, a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of proven professional carpentry or remodeling experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen pre-employment and random.
• Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the Swartz Restoration office in Lima, OH.
• Experienced with drywall, trim work, painting, cabinetry, flooring, tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc., and other general home improvements/remodeling.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Ability to interact with our customers on a professional & friendly level and ensure client satisfaction at all times.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Dedicated to consistently perform quality work.
• Must be proficient using carpentry tools and equipment & own a set of standard hand and power tools.
• Must be willing to participate in the rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergency jobs on evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Job Duties:
• Complete assigned punch list repairs in reconstruction projects while following the scope of work and adhering to project timelines.
• Complete work orders as given by project manager.
• Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools.
• Construct building frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Complete light plumbing and electrical projects.
• Complete kitchen and bath remodels.
• Clean up assigned job sites may be doing a days worth of work on different job sites.
• May be traveling to more than one job site per day.
• Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop and in the vehicle.
• Complete assigned jobs within budget and on time.
• Complete jobs with mitigation department as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Responding to emergency calls on evenings and weekends, board-ups, setting equipment, securing the property.
