We are seeking a Carpenter to work onsite supporting maintenance and construction operations at a secure industrial facility in Lynchburg, VA. This position will construct, fabricate, install, and repair structures along with other miscellaneous carpentry tasks. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance, including federal drug & alcohol screening requirements, and must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship. Carpenters will work on Jamerson-Lewis projects in and around Lynchburg, during the security clearance process. The Carpenter responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plans and performs standard to moderately complex rough and finish carpentry tasks necessary to construct, install, or repair structures along with other miscellaneous carpentry tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, installation of wall framing, door frames, hardware, doors, casework, trim, and specialties. Reads and understands specifications in building plans. Selects and utilizes appropriate hand and power tools and materials required to complete jobs.
