Position Summary
The Caregiver provides personalized non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes. This role focuses on improving quality of life, ensuring safety, assisting with activities of daily living, and offering emotional support while treating every client with dignity and respect.
Caregivers are expected to be reliable, compassionate, patient, and professional while representing Caring Senior Service in the community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Personal Care Assistance
Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
Provide incontinence care when needed
Help clients maintain a safe and clean environment
Companion Care
Meal Preperation & Nutrition
Household Suupport
Transportation & Errands
Safety & Observation
Monitor changes in client condition and report concerns promptly
Follow care plans and company procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and communication
Promote a safe environment and help prevent falls
Qualifications
Compassionate heart and desire to help seniors
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Ability to pass background check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Ability to work independently
Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
CNA certification welcomed but not mandatory (depending on state requirements)
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist clients safely
Ability to lift and transfer clients when necessary
Ability to perform household tasks and transportation duties
