    Join Our Team

    We are looking for compassionate, dependable, and service-minded Caregivers to join our team in Berkeley. In this role, you will provide direct support to residents with daily living activities while helping create a warm, safe, and engaging environment.

    The ideal candidate is attentive, patient, professional, and committed to delivering excellent care and customer service to seniors.

    Position Summary

    The Caregiver is responsible for supporting residents with personal care, daily routines, mobility, dining assistance, observation, and overall comfort. This role also helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment, communicates changes in resident condition, and works closely with the nursing and leadership team to ensure quality care.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, and hygiene

    • Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation throughout the community

    • Support residents during meals, including set-up, encouragement, and after-meal assistance

    • Observe residents closely and promptly report changes in condition, incidents, injuries, or concerns to the nurse or supervisor

    • Answer call lights and check on residents regularly to ensure needs are being met

    • Maintain accurate documentation, flow sheets, and care-related records as assigned

    • Help prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges

    • Support a clean, calm, respectful, and positive living environment for residents

    • Follow community policies related to infection control, safety, confidentiality, resident rights, and abuse reporting

    • Use only the equipment and care techniques you have been trained and authorized to perform

    • Work collaboratively with coworkers and other departments to provide excellent resident care and service

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    • Prior caregiving experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or healthcare preferred

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to remain calm, respectful, and professional in a fast-paced care environment

    • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction and community procedures

    • Ability to document clearly and accurately

    • Must maintain resident confidentiality and professionalism at all times

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, reposition, and assist residents throughout the shift

    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

    • Ability to perform physically active work in a caregiving environment
