BOXX Modular rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. BOXX Modular is looking for an Operations Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, Operations MSS US, the Operations Manager is responsible for partnering with operational teams across the U.S. to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and Repair & Maintenance (R&M) initiatives. The goal of this role is to reduce costs, improve asset quality, and strengthen overall operational performance.

This is a fast-paced, highly visible role that works closely with U.S.-based teams in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Maine, as well as cross-functional partners including Operational Excellence, Accounting & Finance, Sales, HS&E, and Construction Services.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with experience in the modular rental industry or a similar operational environment (e.g., construction). They are a quick learner, a patient teacher, and bring a strong understanding of how operational execution and financial performance influence each other.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and support to develop strong, high-performing operational teams
• Partner collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements
• Improve performance through training, coaching, motivating, and ongoing evaluation of employees, policies, procedures, and controls
• Assist with financial business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Drive Repair & Maintenance (R&M) improvements to reduce costs and enhance fleet asset quality
• Ensure adherence to HS&E standards and partner closely with the HS&E team
• Manage and pre-qualify subcontractors
• Develop and maintain operational excellence across assigned regions
• Review and support asset and inventory management practices
• Assist with vendor and supplier management
• Facilitate customer issue resolution in partnership with internal teams
• Support project scheduling, including transportation, installation, and coordination with subcontractors and clients

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the modular space rental industry preferred
• Proven experience leading, training, and retaining teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple concurrent priorities
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
