Murphy Oil is seeking a Subsea Engineering Manager to lead a team of subsea engineers and contractors supporting the entire life cycle of Murphy's subsea installations, from concept to operations. Coordination and collaboration with project teams and across functions are essential for success. They will be part of the Global Offshore Developments Team and report to the General Manager, Offshore Developments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong business acumen, a results-oriented mindset, and effective problem-solving abilities. They should deliver practical and innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills are essential for effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners is also crucial. They must also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, inspiring and motivating their team. They excel at cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with project managers, teams, suppliers and partners.
The Subsea Engineering Manager will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work up to two (2) days a week remotely with supervisor approval.

The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs.
