Brayman Construction Corporation, a leading heavy civil and geotechnical contractor with office headquarters in Saxonburg, is seeking a full-time experienced Career Development Manager to join our growing team. Were looking for a Career Development Manager to design, lead, and deliver meaningful career growth programs for our business objectives, coach individuals on their professional development, and build programs that prepare future leaders. This is both a strategic and hands-on role where youll shape the path of career development across the company.

SUMMARY OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and manage the career development department - currently consisting of one development coach.

  • Develop and execute a company-wide career development strategy that supports talent retention and internal mobility.
  • Work with senior leadership, HR, and managers to align career development initiatives with business goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Team Members, conducting one-on-one coaching on career paths, goal setting, and skill development.
  • Develop and track training programs, non-safety, including a leadership development program.
  • Communicate and document the growth and readiness status of team members to senior management.
  • Provide guidance for Team Members facing professional challenges.
  • Appropriate handling of confidential and non-routine information.
  • Research and apply for applicable training grant funds.
  • Works closely with HR, Recruiting, and Executive team members.

SUMMARY OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER SKILLS & ABILITIES

Effectively utilizes computer software applications in Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to actively listen and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in HR Management, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years similar experience in a related field will be considered.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as-needed basis.
