The University Career Services is seeking (1) Career and Employer Relations Specialist, Employer Relations (Temp) to join the already awesome team taking the University Career Services Department to the next level of excellence!

The Career and Employer Relations Specialist will work with students and industry partners on the Atlanta campus. Reporting to the Director of University Career Services, the Career and Employer Relations Specialist will support employers seeking to hire students for internships and other career opportunities. Including students and recent alumni with clarification of educational goals and career selection that supports their career pursuits. In addition, this role works to support career fairs and events to connect students with job opportunities. This position will be specifically on the Atlanta campus.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Promote partnerships, collaborations, and positive relationships to promote the work of university career services to employers, students, and the Georgia State community.
Develop and maintain relationships with employers.
Mount career-related events such as career and job fairs, panels, and networking to connect students with employers.
Contribute to the identification of new employers for internships and career opportunities. Maintain accurate student records and collect data for reporting purposes while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Provide job search skills, career exploration, and career search strategies to individual students and groups.
Develop and conduct career-related presentations using various delivery formats for academic classes, student organizations, and other related campus units.
Participate fully in the overall activities of university career services.
Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge of general job search strategies, advanced customer service and hospitality skills, problem-solving, public speaking, training, proficiency with database management software, and the ability to communicate effectively (writing, listening, and speaking).
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
