Monday Friday | 8:30 AM 5:00 PM EST
(Candidates in Central Time must be able to work Eastern Time hours.)

Pay Rate:

$23.00/hour

Job Summary / Overview

We are seeking a Care Engagement Specialist I to support member outreach and preventive healthcare initiatives. This role focuses on contacting health plan members to schedule preventive care appointments, complete Health Needs Screenings, educate members on available benefits, and help remove barriers to receiving care. The ideal candidate has strong outbound call experience, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

Top Required Skills (Ranked)
  1. Outbound call center or customer service experience with the ability to engage and educate members.

  2. Appointment scheduling, care coordination, and documentation across multiple systems.

  3. Strong multitasking, computer proficiency, and communication skills while navigating multiple screens and maintaining accurate records.

Preferred Skills / Nice to Have
  • Community Health Worker (CHW) certification

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

  • Experience supporting Medicare or Medicaid populations

  • Knowledge of preventive care initiatives (HEDIS measures)

  • Work-from-home experience

  • Experience addressing Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) resource needs

Education Requirement
  • High school diploma or equivalent required plus 3+ years of call center, customer service, member services, provider services, or high-volume sales experience

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field plus 1+ year of relevant experience

Certifications (if applicable)
  • Community Health Worker (CHW) certification preferred

Additional Notes
  • Remote position supporting members located in Kentucky

  • Candidates must be comfortable making high-volume outbound calls

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to document while speaking with members are essential

  • Experience working from home is preferred

  • Candidate must be able to hold natural conversations without relying on a script

  • Employment stability is strongly preferred

  • Candidate must be eligible for W-2 employment

  • No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
