Cardiovascular Technologist - Part-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our procedural team, working under the direction of the Adult Cardiac Catheterization & Electrophysiology Unit Director. You'll assist in pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care of patients undergoing various cardiac procedures, while ensuring radiation safety and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in patient care during Electrophysiology/Cardiac Catheterization, structural heart, and Vascular procedures
- Perform radiological duties and troubleshoot as required
- Monitor and maintain radiation protocols, and provide radiation safety training to staff and fellows
- Assist with equipment maintenance and supply management
- Scrub-in for surgical procedures, circulate in procedure rooms, and document on GE Mac/Cardio lab systems
- Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment
- Work safely in an acute care setting and interact with various patient care departments
- Participate in call rotation and train students and new hires as needed
Requirements
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist License (CRT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- California State Fluoroscopy Permit
- American Heart Association ACLS and BLS
- 2+ years' Radiologic Technician experience in Cardiac Cath/EP labs or OR/Hybrid OR Interventional Radiology lab
- Flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and rotate shifts
- Ability to work weekends and holidays, and participate in call rotation
Desired Qualifications
- RCIS certification
- Experience in Cardiac Cath/EP labs or OR/Hybrid OR Interventional Radiology lab
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
