Qualifications
Essential Education and Experience:
- An Associate's Degree from a recognized Cardiovascular Technology Program.
- or
- An Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- For candidates with an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
- For those with an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, possession of the Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), or Radiography (R) Registration Category from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is necessary, with CI being the preferred credential.
