Job Overview

The role involves delivering high-quality patient care within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and documenting both diagnostic and interventional procedures related to adult interventions, heart failure, and pulmonary services. The position requires the operation of specialized medical equipment and software, along with maintaining professional interactions with both patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
  • Circulate, scrub, and accurately record diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Support adult interventional, heart failure, and pulmonary services.
  • Operate relevant medical equipment and software efficiently.
  • Engage professionally with patients and staff members.
Qualifications
  • Education: An Associate's Degree from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program or an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program is required.
  • Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: The individual will not be required to operate vehicles for business purposes.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • If the candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, they must be credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
    • If the candidate has an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, they must possess one of the following registrations from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), or Radiography (R). The CI registration is preferred.
  • Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
