Job Description:
Work Schedule: Full time, three 12-hour shifts. Call Required
- Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
- Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
- Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
- Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
- Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
- Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
- Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
- Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
- Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy.
- Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately.
Education:
- Associate [Preferred]
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Technical/Vocational School [Required]
Work Experience:
- 1+ experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS [Required] AND
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST [Required] OR
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN [Required] OR
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN [Required]
Pay Range:
$20.04 - $37.27
