Job Summary:

HCA Physician Services Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join an established, high-performing cardiovascular surgery practice. 

Position Summary

The APP will play a key role in both the outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting, providing comprehensive care to cardiovascular surgery patients across the continuum. Responsibilities include managing pre- and post-operative patients, assisting with inpatient rounding, and supporting clinical efficiency within a busy surgical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outpatient clinic visits, including new patient evaluations and post-operative follow-ups
  • Perform inpatient rounding on cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans
  • Order, interpret, and track diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeon and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures, recovery, and long-term care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current licensure in UT or ability to obtain
  • Certification as an AGACNP, FNP, or PA-C
  • Prior experience in cardiovascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, or critical care strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
