    Location: Rowan Medical Center - Salisbury, NC; At 266 beds, Rowan is Novant's 4th largest hospital and has been serving the area since 1936

     

    As a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Novant Health’s Rowan Medical Center, you’ll be trusted to deliver expert care in both cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology.  Your clinical skill, judgment, and adaptability will help drive safe, compassionate care where it matters most. 

    This role is ideal for experienced cardiovascular invasive specialists/RCIS looking to work within a high-performing, collaborative team.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: Graduate from one of the following Accredited Education Programs required: • Registered Nurse (RN) • Registered Radiology Technology (RTR) • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) • Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P) • Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) • Vascular Intervention (VI), required.
    • Experience: 
      • If RN, one year of Cath Lab experience required
      • If EMT-P, two (2) years of acute care hospital experience, required.
      • If RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT or VI one (1) year of experience, preferred.
    • Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse (RN)-North Carolina Board of Nursing License Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR) -ARRT Radiology OR Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) credentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic associate degree from an appropriately recognized Paramedic program. Or Technologist Registry OR Respiratory Therapist-licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) AND Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as RRT. OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Cardiovascular Tech, and Vascular Intervention-graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program. If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) is not a RN, RTR with CI or VI certification, he/she must obtain their Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 24 months of hire for continued employment, required.
    • Additional Skills/Requirements (required):Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
    What You'll Do:
    • Provide care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures
    • Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with current policies and procedures
