Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technologist to support a high-acuity cardiac catheterization laboratory in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient safety and efficient procedural workflow.

Assignment Details

  • Day shift schedule
  • Weekend call required as needed
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • Holiday coverage includes one summer and one winter holiday
  • No floating required
  • Scrubs provided by facility

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab or invasive cardiovascular experience in an acute care hospital
  • ARRT certification required
  • Active Radiologic State License required
  • BLS certification required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Clinical Skills

  • Balloon Pump insertion support
  • Impella insertion support
  • IVUS procedures
  • Mechanical thrombectomy
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Sterile operative techniques
  • Power injector operation
  • Digital cine and image management systems

Preferred Experience

  • Pacemaker insertion support
  • Prior cardiovascular laboratory training/program experience
  • Familiarity with cardiac interventional technologies and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sterile fields and procedural equipment
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Prepare and monitor patients during procedures
  • Operate and maintain hemodynamic and imaging equipment
  • Support emergency interventions and patient stabilization
  • Assist with vascular closure devices and sheath removal
  • Maintain procedural inventory and equipment functionality
  • Ensure proper image storage and documentation
