About the Clinician's WorkdayThe physician associate will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one weeknight call shift per week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM as 2nd Call/Backup. Clinical responsibilities are primarily CT surgery with some vascular work; the role involves limited rounding. The physician associate will collaborate with 3 Physician Associates who first assist in surgery and take call, and 3 APRNs who see patients in the office Monday through Thursday. All clinical documentation is maintained through the EPIC EMR system, and the facility schedules 2-4 surgeries per physician each day of the week.
