Schedule: Days/Evenings/Flexible Shifts (either 5 8-hours shifts or 4 10-hour shifts
No holidays or weekends!
Performs specialized clinical functions related to the Cardiac & Vascular Dept.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Transesophageal Echo
- Prep and prepare patients for TEES
- Provide care to the CV adult and geriatric patient.
- Perform correct and accurate procedure documentation
- Helps EP/Cath/IR/Hybrid procedure turnaround efficiencies.
- Order supplies for Cardiac & Vascular Dept
- Transport
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Cardiovascular Technician, Patient Care Technician, EMT, LPN or a Paramedic is required.
- Knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology of the heart.
- Knowledge of Cardiac Patients and procedures
- Ability to think and act independently with critical thinking skills.
- Computer skills are highly preferred.
- Current BLS Certification
- Basic arrythmia course and pass written exam with 80% score or higher.
Graduate of Medical Assistance program, preferred
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
