Position Description:
Penn Medicine Medical Group is seeking
a full-time Cardiologist to establish a Chester County Region
Cardiology Practice. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to expand and lead
Penn Medicine Cardiology in the region of Chester County with responsibility
for recruiting, mentoring, retaining, and leading cardiovascular physicians
while advancing the mission and values of Penn Medicine.
The Physician Leader will foster a
culture of teamwork, high reliability, and accountability in partnership with
Penn Medicine Academic and Regional Cardiology Physician Leaders. The role
includes strategic input on specialty growth, quality improvement, physician
engagement, patient experience, operational efficiency, as well as clinical
trial expansion.
This physician will represent Penn
Medicine’s Chester County Cardiology practice on the Cardiology executive
committee while strengthening professional relationships across all cardiology
practices affiliated with Penn Medicine, aligning regional and system-wide
strategies, advancing quality priorities, and promoting a consistent standard
of excellence. The leader will work collaboratively with independent
cardiology practices in the Chester County and Delaware County regions, along
with current Chester County Hospital cardiology leaders, to coordinate and
collaborate around overall growth, fiscal stewardship, clinical efficacy, and
quality goals. Reporting jointly to the SVP for Regional Practices and the
Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine, the Chief will participate in leadership
development, budget planning, and annual goal setting and incentive
plans.
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited
School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
- Board certified in
Cardiology
- Eligible for medical
licensure in Pennsylvania
- 5+ years of progressive
experience in clinical practice, preferably in a group practice setting, with
demonstrated skills in operations, quality management, performance improvement,
care redesign and team leadership
