Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
- BC Critical Care Certification
- Proven experience in pediatric or adult critical care settings
- Strong procedural skills, including bedside interventions like chest tube and line management
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to perform independently in high-pressure situations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working within a cardiac intensive care environment
- Familiarity with pediatric cardiothoracic surgery pre- and post-operative care
- Knowledge of mechanical circulatory support devices (ECMO, VADs, etc.)
- Advanced airway management skills
- Previous experience in transplant or pulmonary hypertension management
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years working in critical care, preferably in pediatric cardiology or cardiac ICU
- Certification in Critical Care or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is highly desirable
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on or before August 3, 2026
- Ability to handle night shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations
- Commitment to maintaining certifications and licensure requirements
- Travel reimbursements and license-related expenses covered when applicable
