Job Summary:

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a full time, experienced physician assistant (PA-C) or nurse practitioner (APRN) to join our cardiology team in St. Petersburg, FL. 

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited APRN or PA school
  • Licensed in the state of Florida or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject  to  Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Board Certified
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification
  • Basic EKG course required
  • This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)

Responsibilities
  • Help to improve positive outcomes for your patients as a PA or APRN for the Valve Clinic
  • Present clinical findings at multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure patients meet NCD guidelines for treatment and order all required testing pre and post procedure
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment Plan and Procedure, medication instructions pre and post procedure
  • Administer treatments in accordance with protocols (APRN’s can order medication based and do treatments on the protocols they are credentialed for )
