Specialization Cardiology Electrophysiology
Job Summary Methodist Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Electrophysiology Cardiology team. This advanced practice provider will work collaboratively with EP cardiologists to deliver high-quality care to patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac rhythm disorders. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with a focus on continuity of care procedural support and patient education.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments physical exams and evaluations of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Manage pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing EP studies ablations pacemaker and ICD implantations.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide patient education on device management medication adherence and lifestyle modifications.
Monitor and interpret device data pacemakers ICDs loop recorders and assist in remote monitoring follow-up.
Participate in inpatient rounding consults and discharge planning.
Document all patient interactions and procedures in the EMR accurately and timely.
Assist with coordination of care across the Methodist Healthcare system and referring providers.
Qualifications Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
National certification as an NP FNP AGACNP or ACNP or PA-C.
Minimum of 1-2 years of cardiology experience preferred EP experience highly desirable.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Strong clinical judgment communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
