Location: Cincinnati, OH
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days or Nights Available | 12-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Cardio-Pulmonary Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves caring for high-acuity cardiac, pulmonary, and stroke patients in a specialized stepdown unit while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cardiac and pulmonary stepdown patients.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Care for patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, and chest pain.
- Manage patients requiring Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and other non-invasive respiratory support therapies.
- Administer medications, blood products, and complex infusion therapies.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and standards.
- Recognize and escalate acute changes in patient condition promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN License or valid Compact/Multi-State RN License.
- Diploma in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current BLS Certification (AHA).
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA).
- NIHSS Certification or willingness to obtain prior to or upon hire.
- Strong cardiac telemetry and stepdown nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous Stepdown, PCU, Telemetry, or Travel Nursing experience.
- Experience caring for cardiac, pulmonary, and stroke patient populations.
