Description:

Cardiac Rehab Tech in the Respiratory Department at St Mary's Hospital. This is a PRN position-evening hours.


Position Summary: Oversee the day-to-day clinical aspects related to the services of Cardiac Rehab. Implement and maintain the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase 1 & 2 Program.


What you will do:


+ Duties include admitting, evaluating, educating, and monitoring the patient’s outcomes throughout the program for the patient to achieve optimal outcomes.

+ Program accreditation/certification and all associated responsibilities involved in this process.

+ Creating and maintaining a smoking cessation program for the inpatient population as well as the consumer interested in attending.

+ Use of the Scott System. Includes printing appropriate stress test documentation, H&P, and lab data from EMR for patients.

+ Perform initial patient assessments (e.g., cardiovascular fitness, risk factors) and continuously monitor vitals during exercise sessions

+ Conduct EKGs, stress tests, and telemetry monitoring


What you will need:


+ BLS- thru American Heart Association

+ High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) Graduate of ECG/EKG Training program required (in house training available).

+ Clinical experience in EKG monitoring preferred
