Job OverviewThe University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank Campus is looking for a passionate and hardworking Nursing Monitor Technician to join our Cardiology unit!Our 38-bed unit cares for patients with heart conditions, heart and lung transplants, surgeries, chest pains, heart failures and rhythm issues.This position works a .6FTE (48 hours per 2 week pay period). These are are 8 hour shifts, evening and overnight shifts (evening-3pm-11:30pm and overnight-11pm-7:30am) with every other weekend rotation.This position is responsible for:Observing and monitoring a central bank of patient information related to EKGs oxygen saturation and BP'sTimely communication to RN if there are any changes in these parametersYou may also work as a Nursing Station Technician under the direction of a nurse to assist in:Delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activitiesTransporting patients and equipmentSetting up and maintaining patient roomsReordering and stocking suppliesRequired QualificationsBasic Life SupportBasic ECG training, reading and interpretation at time of hire or within 30 days -OR-NST for minimum of one year on Cardiac Telemetry PCU - OR –Nursing Student with successful completion of one yearPreferred QualificationsCompletion of formal Medical Assistant, EMT, Nursing Assistant or other formal health science education program1+ years related health care experienceFormal ECG trainingECG CertificationAdditional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time)Successful completion of Basic ECG interpretation class within 30 days of hire and annual ECG testBenefit Overview StatementEEO/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status$23.52/hour - $30.92/hour#J-18808-Ljbffr
