Job Summary and Qualifications The CCT is an individual who after comprehensive training is qualified to assist patient on to examination table and prepare patient for procedure. The cath lab tech monitors the patient's vital signs and alerts the doctor of any problems. They are to assist in cases as a circulator, monitor, or transporter. Duties also require them to restock supplies, prepare and disinfect rooms prior to and between cases. Cath lab techs are trained in emergency procedures, such as the use of a crash cart to resuscitate patients if needed.Your responsibilities will include: Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support(RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (ARRT-VI) Vascular Interventional RadiographyPrevious Cardiac Cath and/or Special Procedures training are preferred.
