Required Qualifications

Experience

10+ years of experience in DoD or Army-focused business development, capture management, or program leadership
Demonstrated success winning Army aviation or defense contracts
Strong working knowledge of the Army Acquisition Process, including:PEO Aviation
PM Utility Helicopters
AMCOM / Redstone Arsenal
Experience with IDIQs, task orders, BOAs, and aviation sustainment contracts
Proven experience managing pursuits from early shaping through award execution.

Domain Expertise

Strong rotary-wing aviation background, preferably supporting: UH-60 Black Hawk
MH-60/HH-60 Pave Hawk
HH-60W Jolly Green II
HH-60M / MEDEVAC
CH-47 Chinook
AH-64 Apache
Other Army rotary/fixed-wing platforms
Experience supporting aviation sustainment, depot operations, MRO, logistics, training, modification programs, PMI, or Contractor Maintenance Services (CMS).
Ability to communicate effectively with operational, acquisition, engineering, and sustainment stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Former Army Aviation Officer, Warrant Officer, or Senior NCO.
Prior experience supporting Army Aviation OEMs, major defense primes, or sustainment contractors.
Existing relationships within Army Aviation, AMCOM, or PEO Aviation communities.
Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred.
Experience supporting Army aviation modernization and readiness initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Capture Leadership

Lead identification, qualification, shaping, and capture of Army Aviation opportunities across sustainment, modification, logistics, PMI, CMS, training, and modernization efforts.
Develop and execute strategic capture plans from pre-RFP shaping through contract award.
Engage government stakeholders 12–24 months prior to solicitation release to influence acquisition strategies and operational requirements.
Build and maintain a qualified, probability-weighted pipeline aligned with ACET growth objectives.
Drive opportunity positioning efforts for large IDIQ vehicles, task orders, and strategic aviation programs.
Lead Black Hat reviews, competitive analysis, and win strategy development.
Support bid/no-bid decisions through strategic assessment of customer alignment, competition, capability fit, and win probability.
Customer & Partner Engagement

Serve as ACET’s primary business development interface for assigned Army Aviation pursuits.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with:
Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation
PM Utility Helicopters (UH)
U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM)
Redstone Arsenal stakeholders
Contracting officers and sustainment organizations
Aviation logistics and readiness commands
Represent ACET at industry days, conferences, aviation symposiums, and customer engagements.
Develop and manage strategic teaming partnerships with OEMs, prime contractors, and industry partners.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning

Monitor Army aviation budgets, acquisition forecasts, modernization initiatives, and sustainment strategies.
Track incumbent contractors, competitor positioning, and emerging market trends.
Identify new business opportunities aligned with ACET core capabilities and long-term strategic objectives.
Provide executive leadership with market intelligence, competitive assessments, and strategic growth recommendations.
Internal Coordination & Proposal Support

Collaborate with operations, technical SMEs, pricing, contracts, and proposal teams to develop compliant and competitive solutions.
Support proposal development efforts through customer insights, win themes, discriminators, and strategic positioning.
Ensure proposed solutions align with operational requirements, acquisition strategies, and evaluation criteria.
Assist with development of white papers, capability briefings, technical presentations, and customer engagement materials.

This position is remote; however, the selected candidate must be able to travel frequently to customer sites, industry events, and government meetings.
