The Capital Transaction Specialist supports investment and portfolio teams by managing capital activity, executing investment transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of portfolio records. This role requires strong operational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners.
The position is critical to the smooth execution of capital calls, distributions, and portfolio funding, while also contributing to reporting and operational efficiency.
Execute and manage capital transactions, including capital calls, distributions, transfers, and contributions
Maintain accurate records of capital activity and investment positions
Assist with cash flow monitoring, reconciliation, and P&L reporting for portfolio holdings
Collaborate with portfolio managers, finance, operations, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to track capital movements and investment activity
Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal agreements, and regulatory requirements
Identify operational risks, errors, or inefficiencies and propose improvements
Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports for investment teams and senior management
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Knowledge of capital operations, investment transactions, or portfolio management processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with portfolio management systems or workflow tools is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Interest in capital operations, investment processes, and portfolio reporting
