Strategic Sourcing / CAPEX Procurement Consultant
Location: Louisville, KY (preferred)
Work Model: Onsite preferred | Remote may be considered for an exceptional candidate
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end CAPEX sourcing projects for manufacturing equipment, infrastructure,and facilities-related assets
Drive hard-dollar cost savings through competitive sourcing and direct negotiations with OEMs, contractors, and service providers
Own negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, warranties, service agreements, and lifecycle support
Analyze and optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) including acquisition, installation, maintenance, energy usage, spares, and end-of-life costs
Support sourcing for facilities and infrastructure categories such as utilities, HVAC, refrigeration, building systems, material handling, and site services
Partner closely with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams
Challenge technical specifications and incumbent supplier arrangements to unlock value
Manage RFQs/RFPs, supplier benchmarking, and cost modeling
Support contract development and execution to ensure favorable commercial and risk positions
Track and report sourcing progress, savings, and risks to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with strong focus on CAPEX, equipment, or facilities procurement
Proven experience negotiating directly with OEMs and equipment or facilities suppliers
Strong understanding of TCO and lifecycle cost modeling
Experience supporting manufacturing environments; Food & Beverage experience strongly preferred
Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects independently
Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills
Preferred Experience
Sourcing experience across capital equipment, processing or packaging lines, utilities, HVAC, refrigeration, or building systems
Exposure to facilities management or site-level capital projects
Familiarity with OEM aftermarket pricing, service agreements, and warranty structures
Prior experience as a contractor or consultant supporting cost-out or CAPEX optimization initiatives
