    The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is seeking a full‑time Academic Hematologist to join the Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), our quaternary flagship hospital located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Allegheny General Hospital is a major academic referral center serving Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding region. As part of the Allegheny Health Network, AGH is committed to advancing clinical excellence, medical education, and innovative research.

    The Academic Hematologist position is J‑1 waiver eligible and offers the opportunity to build a fulfilling academic career within a collaborative, well‑established program.

    Highlights:

    • Join a collegial group of four classical hematologists dedicated to high‑quality patient care, education, and scholarship.
    • Participate directly in the education and mentorship of fellows within our ACGME‑accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, with opportunities for teaching, curriculum development, and clinical research.
    • Focus on benign/classical hematology, with flexibility to tailor clinical interests within the division's needs.
    • Work within a multidisciplinary environment that includes strong pathology, transfusion medicine, oncology, and subspecialty support.
    • Contribute to a growing academic program with institutional support for scholarly activity.

    Qualifications:

    • MD or DO with board eligibility or certification in Hematology
    • Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and collaborative practice
    • Eligibility for Pennsylvania medical licensure
    • Candidates requiring J‑1 waiver sponsorship are encouraged to apply
