Campus Security Officer
Salary: $47,988 - $64,440* annually
Classification: Classified
Reports to: Campus Security Lieutenant
This position will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) days. The College reserves the right to close the recruitment at any time after the minimum posting period once a sufficient applicant pool has been established. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A.
Olympic College Campus Safety and Security Department has an opening for a full-time Campus Security Officer. The purpose of this position is to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors on campus. A Campus Security Officer helps prevent crime, responds to emergencies, and enforces campus rules. By patrolling the grounds and monitoring access to buildings, they create a safe learning environment.
Essential Functions
Conduct patrols at designated areas on foot or in a patrol vehicle to enforce institution rules and regulations, local, state and federal statues, laws and ordinances.
Operate departmental communication and technical equipment to ensure proper communication and response times
Assist city police officers, county deputy sheriffs or Washington State patrol troopers in cases of emergency.
Perform other duties as assigned, in the field environment, away from the institution as assigned or in the office environment.

This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $47,988 - $64,440* annually. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Association (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits:
