Primary Purpose:
Serve as an instructional coach to be responsible for bringing evidence-based practices into classrooms by working with and supporting teachers with the goal of increasing student engagement, improving student achievement, and building teacher capacity. The instructional coach focuses on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-based effective instruction. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and/or revise district curriculum.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Master's degree, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to organize and coordinate district wide program
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Recommended minimum of three (3) years of successful elementary or secondary teaching experience
