The Food Security & Civic Engagement Coordinator will support operations of the student food pantry by recruiting and training student workers, tracking pantry data, and building relationships with local food banks and community partners. The member will assist in coordinating food and supply drives, improve pantry signage and visibility, and lead outreach campaigns to reduce stigma and increase usage. The member will take a lead role in hosting educational workshops on nutrition, basic needs resources (such as SNAP and WIC), and cultural food events, developing all related materials. They will also support civic engagement efforts by assisting with the involvement fair, coordinating service days, and recruiting student volunteers. Additionally, the member will collaborate with community partners to maintain an updated list of volunteer opportunities, promoting these through campus channels. They will contribute to the planning and implementation of a Spring Service Break event.
