Camp Assistant Director

We are seeking an organized, energetic, and dedicated Camp Assistant Director to join our leadership team. This individual will play a key role in the daily operations of our summer camp, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for campers and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:
Support and assist in the management and supervision of head counselors and general camp staff

Enforce and maintain safety procedures in compliance with Nassau County regulations

Serve as a point of contact for campers, counselors, parents, and vendors

Help mediate staff or camper issues as needed, promoting a positive camp culture

Participate in camper activities and lead by example in creating an inclusive, enthusiastic camp environment

Qualifications:
Previous camp leadership experience or comparable youth program leadership preferred

Strong understanding of youth development and behavior management

Knowledge of or willingness to learn Nassau County safety regulations

Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the season begins)

Preferably  21+ years of age

Schedule:
Seasonal: June 30 - August 22 

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
