Inside Sales Call Center Agent
Location: Aliso Viejo
Category: Sales
Position Type: Regular Full-Time, Direct Placement
Work Arrangement: On-site with potential for Hybrid

Overview
Our client is one of the largest ophthalmology providers in the U.S., with over ninety centers across six states including California, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, and Utah. An innovative leader in ophthalmology, they deliver an exceptional patient experience through advanced technology and a team of highly skilled, experienced surgeons trusted by more than 3,000 referring eye doctors nationwide.
We're looking for a high energy, people focused Inside Sales Call Center Agent who excels at building trust, influencing decisions, and guiding patients toward life-changing vision correction procedures. This role is ideal for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to turn meaningful conversations into scheduled appointments.

You'll serve as the first impression for prospective patients, many of whom are referred directly by their optometrist and already considering a procedure educating, supporting, and motivating them to take the next step in their vision journey. The right candidate is persuasive without being pushy, empathetic without losing focus, and confident in leading consultative sales conversations from first inquiry to booked consultation. This role comes with incentive compensation tied to performance, so the more patients you help get booked, the more you earn.
This is an on-site position with structured training to set you up for success from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Engage prospective patients with enthusiasm, confidence, and professionalism from the very first call.
  • Convert inbound inquiries into scheduled consultations through consultative conversation and relationship building.
  • Educate patients on procedures, financing options, and the overall patient experience in a clear, compelling way.
  • Overcome objections and help hesitant callers feel confident moving forward.
  • Deliver a concierge-level experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to reengage prospective patients and maximize conversions.
  • Build trust while representing the surgeons and clinical teams with professionalism.
  • Use empathy and sound judgment when assisting anxious or upset callers.
  • Accurately schedule appointments across multiple clinic locations, each with its own surgeons, procedures, and scheduling preferences.
  • Collaborate with clinic teams to support patient retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and stay informed on offerings and processes.
  • Meet and exceed performance metrics related to conversion, booking, and patient satisfaction.
  • Bring warmth and personality to every conversation. Small, genuine touches make all the difference in how patients experience that first call.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of sales or customer engagement experience (inside sales, retail, real estate, appointment setting, hospitality, collections, or similar). Backgrounds in collections, tax service call centers, or high-end retail tend to translate especially well to this role.
  • Experience in dental or aesthetic/elective procedures (such as Botox or injectables) is a strong plus. These fields share a similar consultative, sales-driven patient conversation.
  • Proven ability to influence conversations and convert opportunities into appointments or sales.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with confidence and professionalism.
  • Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced, corporate call center environment.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to connect quickly.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; Vietnamese or Farsi is also a plus.
  • Looking for someone who wants to build a career many call center team members grow into patient-facing roles after a year or two.

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Performance-based bonus incentives
  • Comprehensive, competitive benefits package
  • Real opportunities for internal growth and advancement
