CornerStone Staffing is hiring experienced Call Center Agents/Collections Agents to join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in Whiteville, NC! If you thrive in customer service, collections, and high-volume call environments, we want to hear from you.


Call Center Agents / Collections Agent

Whiteville, NC | Onsite


COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $15.00/hour

• Flexible to work any 8-hour shift, Monday–Sunday, between 8:00am–8:00pm, including mandatory overtime

• End-of-month schedule: Bell to Bell (8:00am–8:00pm with two 1-hour lunches)

• Sunday Dialer shifts: 1–2 per quarter, with possible additional shifts during month-end

• Holiday availability required for temporary staff


ROLE IMPACT

This position plays a key role in maintaining financial stability by collecting delinquent accounts in a professional and timely manner. Success is measured through call volume, account resolution, promises kept, and compliance with company procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect delinquent accounts while maintaining professionalism and compliance

• Meet daily performance metrics including call volume and contact goals

• Negotiate repayment plans based on customer circumstances

• Accurately document all account activity within the system

• Partner with leadership to escalate high-risk accounts when necessary


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year of call center experience — Required

• 3+ years of customer service experience — Required

• High School Diploma or GED — Required

• Stable work history with at least 1 year in previous roles


CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Collection management software

• Telephony and dialer systems


PREFERRED SKILLS

• Bilingual — Highly preferred

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Excellent time management and decision-making abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment


COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening

• Must provide two verifiable employment references
