SUMMARY:
The Calibration Technician is committed to restoring customers’ vehicles back to OEM specifications by recalibrating the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and supporting modules. ADAS training, continuing education, and internal technical support is provided by 360Align. This role has a critical contribution towards ensuring the accuracy and functionality of diagnostic systems in vehicles, contributing to vehicle safety, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
After internal training completion, Technician must be able to complete static and dynamic ADAS recalibrations per specifications on foreign, domestic and EV (electric) vehicles
Communicate with General Manager to ensure efficiency and productivity
Utilizing various tools for the most effective recalibration on the vehicle
Complete pre and post scans and communicate outcome effectively
Responsible for ensuring tooling software updates are completed daily
Troubleshoot complex recalibrations
Test drive vehicles after recalibrations are completed
Customer service focused, ability to develop relationships and deliver consistency
Adequately explain ADAS recalibration specifications and repair planning needs to CollisionRight repair center personnel
Accountable for assigned ADAS inventory (including vehicles, mobile devices, diagnostic scanners, VCI, other equipment provided)
Participate in training sessions
Complete ADAS trainings and applicable certifications
Maintain excellent customer service through CollisionRight’s core values
Maintain a well-organized work area
Adhere to all company and body shop policies, procedures, and safety rules?
May be assigned to a specific CollisionRight location and/or also work mobile from a mobile calibrations van
QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of experience in automotive repairs
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
Module programming, wiring repair, or ADAS recalibration experience (preferred)
Knowledge of automotive diagnostic repair (preferred)
ASE or I-CAR certifications (preferred)
Ability to learn and understand collision repair processes and terminology
Successfully complete recalibration training
Understanding of technology & basic software programs
Ability to learn scan tools and factory software
Ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
Ability to work in an autobody repair shop environment
Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused approach
Ability to work independently but also as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle
Travel may be required outside of the assigned area
Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, and walking
Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs
