The Electrification Solutions New Markets (ESNM) organization within Vehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls (VMEC) has an opening for a Calibration Engineer. ESNM operates as a start‑up within VMEC, focused on delivering battery‑management solutions for non‑automotive applications and unique automotive products. In this role, you will directly support GM's strategy to expand into emerging markets such as autonomous manufacturing, mobile power generation systems, stationary energy storage systems, specialty vehicles, watercraft, and locomotives.
We are looking for creative, highly motivated, agile thinkers with a passion for embedded controls and a strong attention to detail. Ideal candidates enjoy solving complex problems with data‑driven rigor and thrive in a dynamic fast‑moving environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are central to how we deliver.
Role Summary:
As a Calibration Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining, developing, and continuously improving calibrations for control strategies, diagnostics, and controller communication. In this role, you will turn advanced designs into robust, production-ready calibrations using data from simulation, lab, and physical hardware environments. You will partner with software team, testing and validation team, and system safety on various battery management system features, ensuring that software behaves safely, intuitively, and consistently for customers.
