Position Summary

The Calibration Coordinator is responsible for managing calibration activities, controlled equipment inventory, and vendor coordination to ensure all assets meet required standards and are available to support operations. This role oversees the calibration lifecycle, maintains accurate records within internal systems, and supports operational efficiency through effective communication and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for calibration-controlled equipment, including conducting routine audits and verifying asset locations
  • Coordinate the full calibration lifecycle, including identifying equipment due for calibration, initiating service, monitoring status, and returning equipment to operational use
  • Ensure all equipment is properly labeled, documented, and compliant with applicable calibration and certification standards
  • Process and maintain calibration-related records and documentation within internal tracking systems to ensure accuracy and traceability
  • Coordinate with internal teams and approved external vendors to ensure timely calibration, repair, and replacement of equipment
  • Monitor open orders, turnaround times, and warranties to ensure equipment availability and minimize operational disruption
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on calibration activity, inventory status, and overall performance metrics
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management to support calibration operations and resolve issues
  • Maintain organization and readiness of calibrated equipment, including proper storage, handling, and asset rotation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall calibration performance

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in calibration coordination, inventory control, manufacturing support, or related environment preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
  • General understanding of calibration processes, manufacturing environments, or equipment management
  • Proficiency with standard office software and data tracking systems

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
  • May require handling of equipment, lifting, and movement of calibration items
  • Interaction with production, engineering, and external service providers
