Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Cage/Vault Shift Manager ensures the efficiency of Casino Cage and Vault Operations. The Cage/Vault Shift Manager directly oversees all cage and vault associates and maintain positive customer interactions both internal and external. You will report to the Cage-Vault Manager.

Primary Tasks:

  1. You will oversee processes, identify areas of concern and develop process improvements.

  2. Retain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations. Gain full knowledge of all computer software for both Cage and Vault.

  3. You will instruct associates on specific tasks and job techniques and inspect periodically to ensure requests are completed as reported.

  4. Audit and inspect work of your team to ensure standards are met including verifying that all paperwork is accurate and complete.

  5. You will develop methods, processes, staffing to forecast and fulfill demand. Help interview and hiring of new hires and promotions of existing associates. Record associate attendance.

  6. Conduct performance management with staff (reviews, address sub-standard performance).

  7. You will maintain security, surveillance and gaming policy & procedures to protect the assets of the Casino and report all fraudulent and suspicious activity immediately.

  8. Work with outside vendors to ensure all financial equipment is maintained and operational to the Casino's standard for growth.

  9. You will maintain a high level of communication with the Cage/Vault Manager for matters of importance such as customer service issues, associate performance issues, staffing levels, safety concerns, equipment malfunctions & repairs and any other related problems with the casino.

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of high-volume cash handling policies. This includes security, verification, and accuracy.
  • Able to work with large sums of money and chips.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Prior Management experience
