JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Food Service worker TYPE OF POSITION: Classified REPORTS TO: Food Service Manager

POSITION PURPOSE Prepares and cooks meals for school cafeteria.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  1. Prepares soup, meats, vegetables, salads, and desserts for consumption in school cafeteria.
  2. Assists in the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
  3. Serves meals.
  4. Checks food shipments.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Graduate
  2. Willingness to expand knowledge.
  3. Efficient work habits
  4. Skills in human relations
  5. Other qualifications as deemed desirable by the School Board.
