Job Summary
Responsible for preparing, portioning, and serving food and beverages for cafeteria operations and catered events. Ensures accurate food service, cashiering support when needed, and maintains a clean, orderly, and welcoming dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food and beverage items according to established guidelines and store them properly.
- Accurately portion and serve food in an appealing and professional manner.
- Maintain adequate supplies of self‑service items, ensuring proper display and organization.
- Track and record items and quantities issued for and returned from catered events.
- Perform cashiering duties as needed in the absence of a Cafeteria Worker II.
- Ensure cafeteria and dining room areas, including equipment, remain clean, orderly, and sanitary at all times.
Work Schedule
- Varying hours between 6am and 9pm
- Required to work every other weekend
- Required to work every other holiday
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Equivalent experience may be considered, including:
- At least 1 year of experience in the food service industry
- At least 1 year of experience using cash registers
