The Dracut Public Schools Food Service Department is seeking a full-time Cafeteria Worker for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
The Cafeteria Worker supports daily food service operations in a school setting. This role includes food preparation, meal service, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a positive dining experience for students and staff, all while following all safety and nutrition guidelines.
- Assist with the preparation and service of breakfast and lunch meals
- Serve food according to portion and nutrition guidelines
- Set up and break down serving lines and dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and cafeteria
- Follow proper food safety and handling procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, warmers, etc.)
- Restock food, supplies, and condiments as needed
- Provide friendly and respectful customer service to students and staff
- Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal
- Support special events, catering, or school functions as needed Description
