Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Nile Cafe Manager to lead our vibrant cafe team and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
This is a seasonal position(May-September)
In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, cook, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and foster a welcoming environment for all guests. Your leadership will drive the success of our casual dining establishment, blending culinary excellence with outstanding hospitality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a fast-paced, food-focused setting while promoting teamwork and operational efficiency.


Duties

  • Manage daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, cooking and ensuring smooth service flow
  • Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and safety compliance
  • Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste
  • Utilize POS systems such as Square POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures across all kitchen and service areas
  • Monitor customer service standards to deliver a warm, friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
  • Coordinate catering events or special functions when required, ensuring seamless execution from setup to cleanup
  • Manage shift schedules, resolve operational issues promptly, and optimize workflow for efficiency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe environment in compliance with health codes

Experience

  • Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with supervisory responsibilities
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and inventory management
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
  • Demonstrated ability to train staff effectively in customer service, food production, and operational procedures
  • Experience supervising teams in hospitality or restaurant management roles with a focus on leadership development
  • Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management within a food service setting
  • Prior experience in catering or banquet services is advantageous but not required
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and develop team members skills confidently
  • All certifications must be current
