Job Summary: 


The Café Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, ensuring excellent hospitality, maintaining quality food and beverage standards, and leading a team of baristas and teammates. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to create a positive and efficient work environment. 


Key Responsibilities: 


Leadership & Team Management 


  • Supervise, train, and mentor café staff, fostering a positive team environment. 
  • Assign duties and ensure efficient workflow during shifts. 
  • Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and teamwork. 
  • Conduct team meetings and communicate goals, promotions, and expectations. 
  • Execute daily schedule, deployment, monitor attendance, and shift coverage as needed. 
Customer Service & Experience 


  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent hospitality. 
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally. 
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly café atmosphere. 
Operations & Efficiency 


  • Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures. 
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations. 
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers, and leadership for timely replenishment. 
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, waste logs and cost control. 
Food & Beverage Quality 


  • Ensure food and beverages meet quality and presentation standards. 
  • Train staff on proper preparation, handling, and service techniques. 
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs. 
Sales & Business Growth 


  • Support marketing efforts, promotions, and upselling strategies. 
  • Monitor sales performance and suggest improvements. 
Qualifications & Skills: 


  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service. 
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation, food safety, and customer service best practices. 
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. While maintaining a 40 hour per week schedule.
